Během posledních desetiletí přibývá stále více párů, kterým se nedaří počít potomka přirozenou cestou, ať je již překážka na straně muže či ženy. V těchto případech jsou zde možnosti lékařské vědy a s ní i metody asistované reprodukce, které v posledních desetiletích opustila rámec klinických experimentů a stala se rutinním postupem při terapii nedobrovolně bezdětných párů či manželství. Vzhledem ke stálému zvyšování efektivity těchto metod se rozšiřují indikace asistované reprodukce, především in vitro fertilizace. Dalším krokem bylo zavedení léčby neplodnosti pomocí darovaných oocytů. Obě tyto metody souvisejí se stimulací vaječníků a tím může docházet i k řadě komplikací, mezi které patří i ovariální hyperstimulační syndrom, který je právě následkem nadměrné stimulace vaječníků. Dochází k nadměrné propustnosti kapilár pro tekutinu, která se dostává do dutiny břišní a způsobuje řadu klinických i laboratorních komplikací. Ošetřovatelství má v péči o tyto ženy nezastupitelné místo. Porodní asistentky by měli znát problematiku všech možných komplikací metod asistované reprodukce, individuálně a s empatií přistupovat k ženám, u kterých vznikla jakákoliv komplikace, jelikož pro tyto ženy je to psychicky náročná situace a během hospitalizace jsou pro ně porodní asistentky velikou oporou. Cíle, hypotézy a výzkumné otázky byly zjišťovány pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu prováděného nestandardizovaným rozhovorem s ženami, které prodělaly hyperstimulační syndrom a kvantitativním výzkumem pomocí anonymních dotazníků, které byly rozdány porodním asistentkám. Všechny cíle, hypotézy a výzkumné otázky, které jsem si stanovila, byly potvrzeny. Moje práce by mohla být použita jako informační materiál pro ženy podstupující umělé oplození, pro porodní asistentky pracující s těmito ženami a pro studenty, kteří by se chtěli touto problematikou zabývat. During the past few decades, the occurrence of couples unable to conceive in the natural way, whether by the fault of the man or the woman, has been on the increase. In those cases, help is provided by medical science, with assisted reproduction methods, which over the past decades have overcome the limits of clinical experiments and have become routine practice in the treatment of unvoluntarily childless couples or marriages. In view of the steadily growing efficiency of those methods assisted reproduction is an increasingly frequent indication, specifically in the form of in vitro fertilization. Another step was the introduction of infertility treatment by oocyte donation. Both these methods involve the stimulation of ovaries, which may lead to various complications, such as ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome provoked by excessive ovary stimulation. As a result, the capillaries become excessively permeable for the liquid, which penetrates into the enterocoele sac and causes various clinical and laboratory complications. Nursing care is indispensable for such women patients. Midwives should know about all potential complications of assisted reproduction, they should have an individual approach to the patients and show empathy for women in whom a complication has appeared, as such women are experiencing a psychically demanding situation and midwives are of great support to them during hospitalisation. The aims, hypotheses and answers were ascertained by a qualitative survey carried out by non-standardized interviews of women who underwent ovarian hyperstimulation, and by a quantitative survey based on anonymous questionnaires distributed among midwives. All the aims, hypotheses and questions I set myself have been confirmed. My work could be used as information material for women undergoing artificial fertilization, for midwives working with those women and for students who would like to concern themselves with this issue.
