cze Abstract:
Dále práce zkoumá, jakou úlohu v událostech sehrály fámy, strach a napětí. Klíčová slova Masopust, vpád pasovských, strach v raně novověké Evropě, fáma, Praha, napětíThis bachelor thesis deals with the circumstances of mob riots in Prague taking place during the invasion of the army of the bishop of Passau in 1611 in the context of a carnival time. As a consequence of the invasion of Prague by the Passau army, the furious mobs attacked and plundered monasteries and murdered monks. The contemporary observers already then noticed some elements of carnival festivities in the riots. The thesis tries to explain the presence of these elements in the mob riots in Prague and explores the connection between the rioters' behaviour and the ongoing carnival time. In addition, the thesis tries to establish what role rumours, fear and tension played in the events.
