Při řešení matematické slovní úlohy je zásadní, aby jí žák napřed správně porozuměl. V této práci jsme se proto pokusili najít konkrétní problematická místa z hlediska jazykového porozumění ve slovních úlohách. Teoretická část ukazuje propojení matematické a čtenářské gramotnosti, vymezuje pojem slovní úloha a nabízí různé typy slovních úloh, popisuje jednotlivé fáze řešení slovních úloh a poukazuje na možné problémy spojené s řešením slovních úloh. Dále se věnuje jazykové charakteristice slovních úloh v různých rovinách, a to v rovině textové a kontextové, syntaktické, lexikální i morfologické, a poukazuje na potenciálně problematické jazykové jevy, které se v textu slovních úloh mohou vyskytovat. V praktické části jsme analyzovali jazyk vybraných slovních úloh z přijímacích testů na čtyřletá a osmiletá gymnázia a maturitních písemných testů (JPZ a didaktické testy MZ) a následně jsme tyto úlohy otestovali na žácích základní školy a gymnázia. Analýza úloh a testy nám v kombinaci s rozhovory pomohly odhalit problematická místa z hlediska jazykového porozumění úlohám. Jako problematická se ukázala délka úloh v kombinaci s komplikovaným členěním textu či dlouhými větami a souvětími, dále délka vět a souvětí v kombinaci s dalšími jazykovými prvky (matematické termíny, zdánlivě chybějící informace,... In order to solve mathematical word problem, student have to understand it correctly first. In this work, we will try to find particular problematic parts in terms of language comprehension in word problems. The theoretical part of the theses shows connection between mathematical and reading literacy, defines the term word problem and offers various types of word problems, describes individual parts of solving word problems and points out possible problems associated with solving word problems. Furthermore, it is devoted to language characteristics of word problems on various levels, such as textual and contextual, syntactic, lexical and morphological, and points out potentially problematic language phenomena that could occur in a text of a word problem. In the practical part we analyzed the language of selected word problems from entrance exams for eight-year and four-year high schools and graduation written tests and subsequently we tested these word problems on students of elementary school and high school. The analysis of the word problems and the tests combined with interviews helped us detect problematics parts in terms of language comprehension.
