Tato práce se zabývá skladatelem Bohuslavem Martinů a jeho drobnými skladbami vydanými pod souborným názvem Etudy a polky (1945). Pro práci bylo vytyčeno několik stěžejních cílů: I. představení Bohuslava Martinů jako význačné české skladatelské osobnosti, II. přiblížení forem etudy a polky skrze jejich historický vývoj a charakteristické rysy, které přispějí k lepšímu uchopení etud a polek 20. století, III. příprava materiálu pro klavírní pedagogy, jehož úkolem je usnadnit orientaci ve všech šestnácti skladbách, IV. poskytnutí přehledného souhrnu různých technických a jiných jevů prostřednictvím didaktické analýzy díla, se kterými se žák základní umělecké školy v etudách a polkách setká, V. postihnutí různých způsobů interpretace a vlastních zkušeností s nácvikem některých skladeb. Práce nabízí především historické a didaktické aspekty vzájemně na sebe odkazující. Nechybí ani hledisko formy a hudební analýzy, kterému je však věnován menší prostor v porovnání s prvními dvěma zmíněnými oblastmi. KLÍČOVÁ SLOVA Etudy, polky, Bohuslav Martinů, klavírní vyučování, hudba 20. století, Kniha I, Kniha II, Kniha III The thesis deals with the Czech composer Bohuslav Martinů and his petite compositions published in the Etudes and polkas compilation (1945). The work aims to: I. introduce Bohuslav Martinů as a significant composer of the Czech music scene, II. zoom at the etude and polka structure and music organisation through the historical development and essential characteristics, which will be conducive to a better understanding of etudes and polkas of the 20th century, III. prepare sufficient and user-friendly material for piano teachers to facilitate orientation within all the sixteen pieces, IV. offer a straightforward summary of various technical and other elements that might be met in music schools, V. tackle different ways of interpretation as well as the author's own experience regarding studying some of the pieces from the Etudas and polkas compilation. The bachelor's thesis predominantly offers historical and didactic correlative aspects. The viewpoint of the musical form and analysis is also incorporated; however, in seemingly minority compared to the first two areas mentioned.
