Stárnutí populace je nejcharakterističtějším rysem demografického vývoje České republiky i dalších rozvinutých zemí Evropy. Tento demografický vývoj bude v dalších letech pokračovat. Přispěje k němu zestárnutí populačně silných ročníků a v dalším období zejména prodlužující se pravděpodobná doba dožití.Mezi obyvateli domovů pro seniory je mnoho uživatelů imobilních, kteří ve zvýšené míře inklinují k tvorbě dekubitů. Cílem mé práce bylo zjistit rozdíly v používaných antidekubitárních pomůckách ve vybraných domovech pro seniory a dále zjistit informovanost sester pracujících v těchto zařízeních o moderních prostředcích k ošetřování dekubitů.Informace jsem získávala dotazníkovou metodou formou dotazníku, který vyplňovaly sestry pracující v domovech pro seniory v jihočeském kraji a pro srovnání byl dotazník vyplněn sestrami z domova pro seniory ve středočeském kraji.U vybraných seniorů byl použit řízený rozhovor.Výsledky této práce bude možné použít k analýze rozdílných přístupů v používaných prostředcích k hojení ran a možné vytvoření ucelené koncepce v oblasti využití. Population aging is the most characteristic feature of the demographic development of the Czech Republic and other developed countries in Europe. This demographic development will continue in the years to come. It will be enhanced by aging of members of the populous age-group and afterwards in particular by the increasing life expectancy. A large number of clients of retirement homes are immobile and incline to decubitus development. The objective of my work was to find differences in anti-decubitus equipment used in selected retirement homes and to ascertain awareness of nurses working in those facilities in respect of modern means to treat decubitus. I obtained the information by a questioning method, using a questionnaire completed by nurses working in retirement homes in the Region of South Bohemia; for comparison, the questionnaire was completed by nurses from a retirement home in the Region of Central Bohemia. A directed interview with selected seniors was also used. The results of the work may be used for analysis of different approaches, as far as usage of wound healing means is concerned, and for possible creation of a comprehensive conception in the field of application.
