Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem hospicového hnutí napříč historií i kontinenty. Jedná se o teoretickou práci s využitím rešeršní kompilace zdrojů. Jsou zde popsány základní pojmy, jako je hospic či paliativní péče, terminální stadium nemoci, umírání, smrt a fáze umírání dle Kübler-Rossové, které s tématem velmi úzce souvisí. Hlavním cílem práce je vytvořit ucelený přehled, nejen o vzniku a historii paliativní hospicové péče ve vybraných zemích světa (Evropa - ČR, Spojené státy americké, Austrálie, Čínská lidová republika - konkrétně region Hongkong, Latinská Amerika - oblast Chile a Argentiny, Rusko, Austrálie a oblast střední Afriky). V neposlední řadě jsou zde rozlišeny typy hospicové péče včetně legislativního zakotvení v právním řádu České republiky. Bakalářská práce se také zaměřuje na standardy a principy paliativní péče v České republice ve srovnání s jinými státy vybraných kontinentů. Asociace poskytovatelů hospicové paliativní péče zastřešuje hospice v České republice, proto se práce také zaměřuje i na aktuální výčet jejích řádných členů. Také mýtů o umírání v hospici se traduje mnoho, z tohoto důvodu zde zmiňuji i nejčastější mylné představy o dožití v hospici. Obsahem práce je rovněž zmínka o aktuálním procesu schvalování eutanazie, o který Vláda ČR v současnosti usiluje. The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of the hospice movement across history and continents. This is a theoretical work using a search compilation of resources. It describes basic concepts such as hospice or palliative care, terminal stage of illness, dying, death and the stage of dying according to psychiatrist Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, which are very closely related to the topic. The main goal of this work is to create a comprehensive overview, not only of the origin and history of palliative hospice care in selected countries (Europe - Czech Republic, United States, Australia, People's Republic of China - specifically the Hong Kong region, Latin America - Chile and Argentina, Russia, Australia and Central Africa). Last but not least, there are types of hospice care, including the legislative entrenchment in the legal order of the Czech Republic. The bachelor thesis also focuses on the standards and principles of palliative care in the Czech Republic in comparison with other countries of selected continents. The Association of hospice palliative care providers unite hospices in the Czech Republic, so the work also focuses on the current list of its full members. There are also many myths about dying in a hospice, which is why I mention the most common misconceptions about living in a hospice. The content of the thesis also mentions the current process of approving euthanasia, which the Government of the Czech Republic is currently striving for.
