Význam neformální péče narůstá s ohledem na demografické změny ve společnosti a role těchto pečujících je v systému dlouhodobé péče nenahraditelná. Diplomová práce reflektuje aktuální situaci v této oblasti s cílem zmapovat potřeby neformálních pečujících o osoby s Alzheimerovou chorobou na území ORP Písek. Teoretická část diplomové práce je opřena o řadu výzkumů, které přinášejí zajímavý pohled na různé oblasti domácí péče s ohledem na aktuální trendy v péči o seniory. Pozornost je také zaměřena na charakteristiku Alzheimerovy choroby a uvedené obce s rozšířenou působností. Pro dosažení cíle byla zvolena kvalitativní výzkumná strategie za použití polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s osmi neformálními pečujícími o osoby s Alzheimerovou chorobou ve vybrané lokalitě. S akcentem na dané území byl předmětem výzkumu i rozsah sdílené péče a dostupnost formálních služeb z pohledu samotných pečujících. Analýza dat probíhala metodou zakotvené teorie a výsledkem axiálního kódování je paradigmatický model, který se soustřeďuje kolem centrální kategorie - potřeb neformálních pečujících. Výzkum prokázal, že potřeby neformálních pečujících jsou proměnlivé v závislosti na fázi Alzheimerovy choroby. Zatímco na začátku vyvstávají potřeby spíše informativního charakteru, později se modifikují v důsledku finanční a časové tísně. Zároveň výzkum poukázal na nepřiměřenou nabídku služeb na území ORP Písek a tato skutečnost se promítá do kvality podpůrné sítě. Pečující potřebují vědět, že na to nejsou sami, že existuje člověk nebo služba, která je v případě jejich absence zastoupí. The meaning of informal care grows with regard to the demographic changes in the society and the role of these caregivers is irreplaceable within the system of long-term care. The diploma thesis reflects the current situation in this area with the objective of mapping out the needs of informal caregivers of people with Alzheimer's Disease in the ORP Písek. The theoretical part of this diploma thesis is supported by a number of surveys that bring an interesting perspective to different areas of domestic care with regard to current trends in senior patient care. Attention is also focused on the characteristics of Alzheimer´s and on the mentioned municipalities with extended powers. To reach the objective, a qualitative research strategy was chosen, using semi-structured interviews with eight informal caretakers who were taking care of individuals suffering from Alzheimer´s in the chosen area. With regard to the given area, also the range of shared care and availability of formal services from the perspective of caregivers themselves, were the object of research. Data analysis was carried out using grounded theory mehtod and the result of axial coding is a paradigmatic model focused around central category - the needs of the informal caregivers. The research has proven that the needs of informal caregivres are changeable depending on the phase of Alzheimer´s disease. Meanwhile in the beginning needs of informative character arise, later they modify due to financial and time pressure. At the same time, research has proven a disproportionate offer of services in the ORP Písek and this fact is reflected in the quality of support network. Informal caregivers need to know that they are not alone in this and that there is an individual or a service that might substitute them in case they are absent.
