Cílem této bakalářské práce je poskytnout laické veřejnosti povědomí o syndromu Treacher Collins. Dozvědět se, jaké specifičnosti se takovým lidem dostává a jaké obtíže se s tímto syndromem pojí. Dále pak poukázat na možné problémy v příjímání dítěte rodinou a jeho postupná adaptace. Praktická část je tvořena metodou kvalitativního výzkumu. Pomocí rozhovorů s osobami, kterých se Treacher Collins týká, buďto samotných nebo v jejich rodinném kruhu, bylo popsáno, jaké specifičnosti se u nich vyskytují a jak probíhalo vyrovnávání se. V závěru práce se nacházejí výsledky tohoto výzkumu. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to provide the general public with awareness of the Treacher Collins syndrome. Learn what specificities such people get and what difficulties are associated with this syndrome. Furthermore, to point out possible problems in the adoption of the child by the family and its gradual adaptation. The practical part consists of the method of qualitative research. Through interviews with those affected by Treacher Collins, either on their own or in their family circles, it was described what specificities they had and how the coping process took place. At the end of the work are the results of this research.
