Práce se zabývá tématem seniorů a jejich vyrovnáváním se s úmrtím někoho blízkého. V teoretické části se nejprve zabývám vývojovým obdobím stáří, jeho projevy, potřebami, rolemi a kvalitou života. Dále popisuji truchlení a jeho vymezení, projevy, průběh, se kterým jsou spojeny fáze a úkoly truchlení. Také zde uvádím jeho formy, nekomplikované a komplikované truchlení, faktory, které je ovlivňují a reakce, které v jejich případech mohou nastat. Následně na to stáří s truchlením propojuji a uvádím rysy, které se zde projevují. Na závěr teoretické části zmiňuji poradenství pro pozůstalé. V praktické části uvádím výzkum, který porovnává poznatky z teoretické části s jeho výsledky. Výzkum je proveden pomocí narativní analýzy, jejíž metodikou je rozhovor s respondentkou, které před dvěma lety zemřel otec a je zde zaznamenán průběh jejího truchlení. Závěrem této části a celé práce je, že na základě výzkumu se teoretické poznatky s výsledky výzkumu shodují pouze částečně. This thesis is focused on senior citizens and their abillity of dealing with a loss of close relatives. In the theoretical part of the thesis I deal with evolutionary period of the elderly and its signs and process, that go in hand with phases and objectives of bereavement process. Also I mention its forms, uncomplicated and complicated bereavement process. Factors that affect them and reactions that can occur. Subsequently, I link together old-age and bereavement process and I mention the features, that manifest. In the end of the theoretical part I mention a ways of consultancy for the bereaved. In the practical part I present a research, that compare the knowledge from the theoretical part and its results. The research is carried out by narrative analysis, methodology is the interview with a respondent, who lost her father 2 years ago. Her bereavement process is recorded. The conclusion of this part and the thesis leads to the realization that theoretical knowledge agrees only partially with the results of research.
