Práce se zabývá vybranými etickými problémy, které se vztahují k léčbě lidí s psychickým onemocněním. Jednotící úhel pohledu na tyto problémy zde představuje křesťanská katolická etika. Text se zaměřuje na situaci v České republice. Jsou v něm nejprve objasněny základní pojmy, popsány formy psychiatrické péče a představena základní etická, teologická a antropologická východiska. Práce rovněž zohledňuje poznatky z oblasti sociologie, práva a především psychiatrie. Popis jednotlivých skupin duševních poruch poskytuje v disertaci nutný podklad pro etickou reflexi. Samotné vybrané etické problémy jsou nahlíženy v kontextu vztahů společnosti, odborníků a rodiny k psychicky nemocným. Křesťanské etika zde vychází z biblických textů a soudobých výroků Učitelského úřadu církve (Magisterium). The thesis deals with some selected ethical problems related to the treatment of people with mental diseases. The work views these problems from the perspective of Christian Catholic ethics. The text focuses on the situation in the Czech Republic. Firstly, it defines the basic concepts, describes the forms of psychiatric care and introduces the basic ethical, theological and anthropological bases. The work also takes into account the knowledge of sociology, law and especially psychiatry. The description of specific groups of mental disorders provides the necessary basis for ethical reflection in the dissertation. The selected ethical problems themselves are viewed in the context of the relationship of society, professionals and family towards the mentally ill. Christian ethics is based on biblical texts and contemporary statements of the Magisterium.
