Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na etická dilemata sociálních pracovníků v domovech pro seniory. Teoretická část diplomové práce představuje odborná východiska pro samotný výzkum konaný v domovech seniorů. Teoretické kapitoly, které vycházejí z problematiky stáří, druhů poskytované péče a příklady nabízených služeb pro seniory, jsou doplněny o praktickou část. Ta se opírá o zkušenosti jednotlivých sociálních pracovníků, se kterými byly vedeny polostrukturované rozhovory. Zásadními sledovanými faktory, jsou opakující se situace sociálních pracovníků, které vnímají jako obtížné ve vztahu ke klientovi, dále jeho vztahy s okolím a rodinou. Toto vše zásadně ovlivňuje spokojenost jedince s místem, na kterém musí trávit své seniorské roky. The diploma thesis focuses on the ethical dilemmas of social workers in homes for the elderly. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis presents the professional bases for the research conducted in nursing homes. Theoretical chapters that result from the issue of old age, types of provided care, and examples of services offered to seniors are supplemented by the practical part. This is based on the experience of individual social workers, with whom semi-structured interviews were conducted. The essential factors in monitoring are recurring situations of social workers which they perceive as difficult in relationship with a client as well as the client´s relations to the environment and family. All this fundamentally affects an individual's satisfaction with the place where they must spend their late life.
