Abstract: Práce pojednává o regulaci a harmonizaci účetnictví. Stručně charakterizuje základní účetní systémy. Zabývá se US GAAP, IAS/IFRS, regulaci v rámci EU a účetním prostředím v České republice. Zmiňuje se i o nejdůležitějších rozdílech mezi českým účetnictvím, US GAAP a IAS/IFRS.
