Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá dvěma šlechtickými rody v polovině 16. století. Zaměřuje se na jejich propojení a vztahy dvou nejvýznamnějších představitelů rodů - Jáchyma z Hradce a Diviše Slavaty z Chlumu a Košumberka. První kapitola přibližuje dosavadní bádání o šlechtě v raném novověku. Následně je vylíčen každodenní život šlechtice. Druhá kapitola se zabývá pány z Hradce s důrazem na osobnost Jáchyma. V další kapitole je pojednáno o Slavatech z Chlumu a Košumberka a o Diviši Slavatovi. Poslední kapitola tvoří jádro diplomové práce. Popisuje formální znaky Divišovy korespondence švagrovi Jáchymovi a analyzuje témata dopisů. Součástí diplomové práce je také edice této korespondence. This diploma thesis deals with two aristocratic families in the middle of the 16th century. The thesis focuses on their connections and relationships between the two most important family representatives - Jáchym from Hradec and Diviš Slavata of Chlum and Košumberk. The first chapter describes the current research on the early modern nobility and their daily life. The second chapter deals with the lords of Hradec with emphasis on Jáchym. The next chapter deals with Slavats of Chlum and Košumberk and Diviš Slavata. The last chapter constitutes the core of given thesis. It describes the formal characters of Diviš's correspondence to his brother-in-law Jáchym and analyses the topics of his letters. Part of the diploma thesis is the edition of this correspondence.
