V centru zájmu předložené disertační práce stanuli konkrétní muži a ženy, kteří byli na třeboňském panství v období přelomu 17. a 18. století obviněni z různých sexuálních deliktů. Po nezbytném úvodním vymezení tématu a kritickém zhodnocení pramenů a literatury byly přiblíženy delikty smilstva a cizoložství prostřednictvím normativních pramenů. Následně se pozornost za využití metod historické antropologie zaměřila na konkrétní provinilce jako aktéry dějin. Vlastním cílem práce bylo přiblížit se prostřed-nictvím jimi užívaných obranných strategií k obecným vzorcům chování a jednání sou-dobých venkovanů a pokusit se o náhlednutí do jejich myšlenkového světa. Provinění, kterého se dopustili, je totiž nutilo bránit svoji čest a s ní úzce spojený sociální status. Skutečnost, zda byl mimomanželský vztah v rámci vesnické společnosti akceptován, pak byla závislá na kodexu ctnostného jednání, který uznávali soudobí venkované. Do-chovaná trestně právní agenda vedená o těchto případech tak historikovi nabízí nejen pohled na konkrétní osudy provinilců, ale i možnost přiblížit se hodnotovému žebříčku raně novověkého vesničana. Nezbytně nutné je však mít stále na paměti nejen výhody, ale také omezení, které vyplývají z práce s dochovanými výslechovými protokoly. The particular men and women stand in the focus of this dissertation. They were ac-cused of different sexual offences in the domain of Trebon at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries. The introduction contains the assessment of the boundaries of the topic and it critically considers the sources and literature. In the next part, the offences of fornication and adultery are examined through the views of legal sources. Afterwards, the focus is changed to particular culprits as the actors of history while the methods of historical anthropology were used. The very aim of the work was to examine the vil-lagers' common behavior patterns and conduct by means of their own defense strate-gies and to look inside their inner world of thoughts. As they committed above men-tioned offences, they were forced to defend their honor and social status. The answer to the question, whether an extramarital relationship was accepted in the frame of rural society, depended on the code of honorable conduct as recognized by the villagers themselves. Preserved criminal-law agenda for this kind of cases offers to a historian a view on lives of particular culprits and also a possibility to closely examine the set of values own to an Early modern age villager. However, it is necessary to keep in mind that there are advantages and also disadvantages connected with working with the pre-served records of interrogation.
