Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část je zaměřena na vývoj výuky cizích jazyků od období před rokem 1989 až do současnosti. Obsahuje informace z výzkumů a jiných šetření, například České školské inspekce. Dále zkoumá množství kvalifikovaných učitelů cizích jazyků v devadesátých letech 20. století a na počátku 21. století, dokumenty určující způsob výuky cizích jazyků na základní škole a moderní trendy ve výuce cizích jazyků na základních školách i ve volném čase. Praktická část obsahuje informace od učitelů, kteří byli součástí transformace školství okolo roku 1989. Byli rekvalifikováni z ruštiny na angličtinu. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on the development of foreign languages teaching since the period before 1989 up to now. It contains information based on researches, for example made by Czech school inspection. It also considers quantity of qualified foreign languages teachers in the nineties of 20th century and in the beginning of 21st century and documents including ways of foreign languages teaching at primary school. It also contains some modern trends about teaching of foreign languages at primary schools and in children's free time. The practical part of the bachelor thesis contains information from teachers about the transformation of Czech education system around the year 1989. These teachers were requalified from teaching Russian language to teaching English.
