Bakalářská práce nabízí pohled na dvě společnosti působící na poli komunálního odpadového hospodářství. Jejich současné situace zhodnocuje pomocí analýz vnitřního a vnějšího prostředí. Nejprve se věnuje vymezení základních pojmů týkajících se strategického managementu a vysvětlení vybraných analýz prostředí, poté jsou realizovány postupy předem popsané v metodice. Vnitřním prostředím se zabývá finanční analýza, okolí společností je zkoumáno pomocí STEP analýzy a Porterova modelu pěti sil, vše na závěr shrnuje SWOT analýza. Zjištěné situace jsou zhodnoceny, vzájemně srovnány a dochází k navržení optimálních strategií a opatření pro rozvoj obou společností. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to assess the current situation of two companies operating in the field of waste management, compare them and offer optimal strategies for the development of both of them. That is attained through analyses of the internal and external environment. Knowledge gained from professional literature is utilized for describing these analyses of strategy management used in the work. The information for research is provided from interviews with managers and is necessary for Porter's model of five forces, STEP, SWOT and financial analysis that are applied. Results describing the current state of companies are evaluated, which leads to recommending measures and solutions for improving the run of them.
