Authors: PEJŠOVÁ, Hana
Document type: Master’s theses
Year: 2020
Language: eng
Abstract: The aim of this thesis was to determine the functions of subgenomic flaviviral RNA (sfRNA) in host cells. In more detail, sfRNAs derived from dengue virus, zika virus and tickborne encephalitis virus were studied. Firstly, the impact of sfRNA on de novo synthesis of host proteins and rRNA was examined using Click chemistry. Secondly, methodology of sfRNA localisation in host cells was optimised using fluorescence in situ hybridisation.
