Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na osídlení Karlovarska v mladším středověku (13.-15. století). Jejím hlavním cílem bylo zhodnotit a analyzovat keramické soubory nalezené na hradu Kostelní Horka (okres Karlovy Vary) a hradu Hartenberg (okres Sokolov) a na tomto základu zachytit postupné osídlování zdejší krajiny. Důležitou součástí práce je i studium nejen archeologických pramenů, ale též jiný oborů jako je historie, toponomastika, rekonstrukce přírodních poměrů a přínosné byly i dějiny umění. Hlavním východiskem práce se stal podrobný rozbor keramických okruhů, které byly následovně rozděleny do keramické sekvence a jejích fází. Tyto údaje doplňují nástin regionální archeologické chronologie. Pro ucelenější obraz problematiky byly představeny lokality z různého sociálního prostředí, na kterých byl provedený destruktivní archeologický výzkum a jejich nálezy mají určitou míru vypovídací hodnoty. Základním cílem bylo zachycení proměn osídlení a proces kolonizace. Klíčová slova: západní Čechy; Karlovy Vary; osídlení; středověká archeologie; dějiny osídlení; šlechtická sídla; keramika; středověk; 1200-1500 The focus of this bachelor thesis is focused on the settlement of Karlovarsko during the later Middle Ages (13.-15. century). The main goal was to evaluate and analyse pottery collections found at the castle Kostelní Horka (district Karlovy Vary) and at the castle Hartenberg (district Sokolov), and capture the progression of settlement of local landscape based on these findings. The study of archeological and other sources, which include History, Toponomasty and reconstruction of natural conditions, is an important part of this work, while the Art History proved useful as well. Results of this thesis generated an elaborate analysis of pottery groups, which were then separated to pottery sequence and its phases. These data complement the outline of local archeological chronology. Archeological digsites from various social enviroments, which bore findings with a particular degree of information value, were presented in order to illustrate a more complete image of the issue at hand. Furthermore the fundamental objective of this work was to understand the transformation of settlement and the process of colonization.
