Bakalářská práce si klade za cíl analyzovat počáteční léta vlády královny Viktorie, a to v rozmezí let 1837 až 1841. Události, které provázely její narození, dětství, dospívání, dospělost a primárně její nástup na trůn, korunovaci, panování královny v době vlády lorda Melbourna a posléze i sira Roberta Peela. Práce je zakončena kapitolou o vybírání vhodné partie k sňatku, následnou svatbou královny Viktorie s princem Albertem a narozením prvorozené dcery. The events that accompanied her birth, childhood, adolescence, adulthood and primarily her accession to the throne, coronation, reign of the queen during the reign of Lord Melbourne and then Sir Robert Peel. The work ends with a chapter on choosing a suitable match for marriage, the subsequent marriage of Queen Victoria to Prince Albert and the birth of the first-born daughter.
