v českém jazyce Fyzický vzhled je součástí našeho vnímání sebe sama, naší identity, i toho, jak nás vnímá naše okolí v různých sférách našeho života. Jednou z těchto sfér je sféra profesní a s ní související profesní identita. Vzhledem ke specifikům pomáhajících profesí lze předpokládat, že zde fyzický vzhled může hrát jinou roli než v ostatních profesích, jako je například vrcholná politika nebo management, pro něž je role fyzického vzhledu v literatuře již vcelku komplexně pojednána. Výzkumná práce se proto zaměřuje na reflexi fyzického vzhledu a jeho souvislost s profesní identitou v oblasti sociální práce. Cílem bylo zkoumat, jaký vztah je mezi fyzickým vzhledem a profesní identitou sociálních pracovníků. Vycházím přitom také z předpokladu, že v rámci jednotlivých cílových skupin mohou být nároky na fyzický vzhled rozdílné. Dalším cílem proto je porovnat, jak se fyzický vzhled liší v rámci jednotlivých cílových skupin profese sociální práce. Východiskem také bylo, že fyzický vzhled může a nemusí v profesi sociální práce něco znamenat. Proto se tato práce také zaměřila na význam fyzického vzhledu v profesní identitě sociálních pracovníků a jak se tento význam projevuje. Sociální pracovníci mohou vycházet z toho, že svůj fyzický vzhled mohou měnit na fyzický kapitál, který jim může být určitým... v anglickém jazyce When we perceive ourself, our identity physical appearance takes a role. How others perecive us in different life spheres, physical appearance takes role too. One of this, is sphere of profession, which relates to profession identity. We presume, acording to specifities of caring profession, physical appearance can take different role in ohter proffesions. For example top policy or management, where literature about physical appearance has already existed. Reflection of physical appearance on profession identity of social work field is the aim of the resesarch. At first resarch focuses on link between physical appearance and profession identity of social work field. Second, We presume, claims on physical appearance can be different, according to specific target groups of clients. So the other aim of the resarch is compare physical appearance in specific target groups in profession field of social work. Third, the aim of the research is examine significance or non-significance of physical appearance in profession identity of social workers, and how it develops. Social workers can transform their physical appearance to physical capital. And then, they can use their physical capital as a source for social work practice.
