(CZ) Práce se věnuje dvanácti skulpturám poslední čtvrtiny 14. století, v dosavadní odborné literatuře těsněji či volněji spojovaným s madonou ze Žebráku. Od 60. let 20. století bylo jádro skupiny konceptualizováno jako produkce jednoho tvůrce či jedné dílny, která bezprostředně předcházela a v mnohém se podílela na formulaci tzv. krásného slohu kolem r. 1400. Novější bádání skupinu interpretuje spíše jako širší proud, tvořící k prvním dílům krásného slohu v 80. letech určitou alternativu, existující paralelně k nim ve vzájemné interakci. Zatímco exklusivní nejstarší krásné madony zřejmě vznikaly jako do jisté míry záměrně formulovaný obrazový typ, aktivně přetvářející bohatou sochařskou tradici třetí čtvrtiny století, konzervativněji orientované sochy okruhu žebrácké madony na předchozí tvorbu spíše navazují. Sochaři invenčním způsobem pracovali s nejrůznějšími podněty, které přinášelo dynamické a umělecky plodné prostředí Prahy. Překvapivě široká škála stylových možností této skupiny nachází své zdroje a komparace v různých polohách parléřovské hutní plastiky i řezbářství, opukových madonách a zejména horizontálních pietách; zásadní je i jistá kontinuita s ikonograficky komplexními trůnícími madonami 60. let nebo vztahy k soudobé malbě, na prvním místě k mistru třeboňského oltáře. Kromě dřevěné... (EN) The thesis focuses on twelve sculptures from the last quarter of the 14th century, more or less closely associated with the Madonna of Žebrák in the existing literature. Since the 1960s, the core of the group has been conceptualised as the production of one artist or one workshop, which immediately preceded and in many ways contributed to the formulation of the so-called beautiful style around 1400. More recent scholarship interprets the group more as a broader tendency, forming a kind of alternative to the first works of the beautiful style in the 1380s, existing parallel to them in mutual interaction. While the exclusive earliest beautiful Madonnas seem to have been created as a somewhat deliberately formulated pictorial type, actively reinterpreting the rich sculptural tradition of the third quarter of the century, the more conservatively oriented sculptures of the Žebrák Madonna circle tend to build on the earlier work. The sculptors worked inventively with various stimuli brought by the dynamic and artistically fertile environment of Prague.
