Předmětem této bakalářské práce je sociální kritika v poválečném románu Úl od španělského autora Camila Josého Cely. Cílem práce je analyzovat sociální tematiku v díle a nastínit, jakým způsobem autor realitu zobrazuje. Na základě toho také přiblížím soudobou společenskou situaci ve Španělsku. Kromě toho se práce zaměřuje na celkový historický a literární kontext díla a na tvorbu C. J. Cely. V první části práce se věnuji historickému a literárnímu kontextu díla, které jsou pro analýzu románu zásadní. Předmětem mého zkoumání jsou především sociální poměry panující v poválečném Španělsku, které bylo zmítáno fatálními následky války a zároveň změnami nastupujícího frankistického režimu. Na poválečné období nahlížím také z literárního hlediska, v rámci kterého se zaměřuji především na poválečný román a tvorbu C. J. Cely. Druhá část práce se soustředí na román Úl a na sociální kritiku, která je v něm obsažena. Kromě nastínění témat, kterých se kritika týká, mě bude zajímat také způsob, jakým ji autor projevuje, a jaký obraz o realitě čtenáři podává. The subject of this bachelor thesis is social criticism in the post-war novel The Hive by the Spanish author Camilo José Cela. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the social themes in the work and to describe how the author depicts reality. Based on this, I will also approach the contemporary social situation in Spain. In addition, the thesis focuses on the overall literary and historical context and the work of C. J. Cela. In the first part of the thesis, I discuss the historical and literary context of the work, which are crucial for the analysis of the novel. The object of my investigation is mainly the social conditions prevailing in post-war Spain, which was torn by the fatal consequences of the war and at the same time by the changes of the emerging Francoist regime. I also look at the post- war period from a literary perspective, focusing mainly on the post-war novel and the work of C. J. Cela. The second part of the thesis focuses on the novel The Hive and the social critique it contains. In addition to outlining the themes of the critique, I will also be interested in the way in which the author expresses it and what picture of reality he gives the reader.
