V této bakalářské práci se budu zabývat návrhy sepulkrálních uren, které vznikaly v Čechách po roce 1918. Pozornost budu věnovat zejména dvěma obdobím, a to době meziválečné, kdy se tyto nádoby začaly objevovat v souvislosti s obnovením kremace v Československu, následně také dobou současnou, která co se designových uren týče, je rovněž velmi plodná. Hlouběji budu v práci pojednávat o návrzích a realizacích architektů, výtvarných umělců a designérů, kteří k otázce tvaru uren přispěli svým originálním přístupem. Hlavním tématem budou urny z tvorby architektů a spolupracovníků Artělu a také sochařské práce vybraných jedinců z období 20. a 30. let 20. století s příležitostným přesahem. Pozornost budu věnovat vizuální stránce těchto návrhů a realizací, ale i samotným umělcům, a to ve snaze pochopit, jak k tématu přistupovali. Stejným pohledem se v práci pokusím zaměřit na díla současných designérů a nalézt rozdíly v jejich přístupu oproti meziválečným autorům. Tato práce si klade za cíl komplexněji zpracovat téma sepulkrálních uren, uvést ho do evropského kontextu a také na něj upozornit. Důvodem je především to, že dosud nebyla vypracována žádná studie pojednávající o vizuální stránce pohřebních uren. Proto by tato práce mohla být přínosná pro oblast uměleckého řemesla a designu, které prozatím nebyla... In this bachelor's thesis I will be studying the topic of funerary urn designs and executions which had been created in Czechia after 1918. My attention will be dedicated to two eras of urn designs, the interwar period, which was a time when the urn designs started becoming a something of a trend in a connection to the renewal of cremation in Czechoslovakia. The second era I will be focusing on in this thesis is the 21st century with its contemporary urn designs. In depth, I will be discussing the designs and realizations of different architects, sculptors, painters and designers who had contributed to the theme of urns with an original point of view. One of the main themes will be the works of architects and co- workers of Artěl and also the sculptural works of individuals from the 1920s and 1930s, with occasional overlaps. My goal is to study the visual aspects of the urns, and I also want to focus on the artists themselves in an effort to understand their approach towards this task. In the same way, I will try to examine the designs of contemporary designers in an order to compare these two important eras.
