Tato bakalářská práce představuje téma psychedelických látek a potenciální význam zkušenosti s těmito látkami s důrazem na prožívání pacientů se zhoubným nádorovým onemocněním. Literárně přehledová část nejprve představuje psychedelické látky, jejich mechanismus účinku a fenomenologii. Dále je popsána důležitost kontextu psychedelické zkušenosti spolu s riziky a celkovým bezpečným užíváním těchto látek, představen je také terapeutický potenciál psychedelických látek. Následně je věnována pozornost zhoubným nádorovým onemocněním a jejich vlivu na psychiku jedince, společně s možnými terapeutickými postupy u takových pacientů. Práce postupně propojuje tato dvě témata a mapuje dostupné poznání v tématu psychedelické zkušenosti u jedinců se zhoubným nádorovým onemocněním i dalšími život ohrožujícími onemocněními. Návrh výzkumného projektu se zabývá možným významem zkušenosti s psychedelickými látkami u populace pacientů s diagnózou zhoubného nádorového onemocnění. Navržený výzkum má kvalitativního design a je postaven na vybraných poznatcích popsaných v literárně přehledové části. Cílem navrhovaného výzkumu je prozkoumání otázky, zda a jaký význam přisuzují pacienti s diagnózou zhoubného nádorového onemocnění své zkušenosti s psychedelickými látkami v souvislosti se svým onemocněním. This bachelor thesis explores the topic of psychedelic substances, the meaning of experience with these substances and its impact on experiencing the diagnosis in cancer patients. The literature review section first introduces psychedelic substances and their mechanism of action, with attention also given to the context of psychedelic experience with its risks and general safe use of the substances. It further discusses the phenomenology of psychedelic experience and therapeutic potential of psychedelic substances. The following chapter focuses on cancer and its impact on mental individual's psyche, along with possible therapeutic approaches to such patients. The thesis integrates these two subjects and maps the available knowledge on the psychedelic experience in individuals with cancer and other life-threatening conditions. The research project proposal explores the potential relevance of the psychedelic experience, specifically in population of patients diagnosed with cancer. The research is designed as qualitative in nature, based on selected findings outlined in the literature review section. The aim of this research project is to examine the questions whether and what importance and meaning cancer patients attach to their experience with psychedelic substances in connection with their disease.
