Bakalářská práce The Beatles v kontextu socialistického Československa v rozhlasovém dokumentu je rozdělena na dvě části - praktickou a teoretickou. Stěžejní praktická část se, jak už samotný název práce napovídá, zabývá vlivem britské kapely The Beatles na politické a kulturní dění v Československu. V rozhlasovém dokumentu se prostřednictvím písní nejen od slavné liverpoolské kapely, ale i od československých interpretů snažím mladým posluchačům vykreslit atmosféru zejména 60. let minulého století. Především pomocí výpovědí respondentů z oblasti hudebního průmyslu, mezi nimiž jsou například hudební publicisté nebo samotní interpreti, se snažím poukázat na to, že The Beatles měli pro československou společnost i jakýsi symbolický význam. V tehdejší době totiž značili jakési pouto s demokratickým západním světem. Kromě praktické části obsahuje tato bakalářská práce také část teoretickou. Ta se soustředí především na definici dokumentu jakožto rozhlasového žánru. Přibližuje specifika rozhlasového vysílání a stručně zmiňuje i historii rozhlasu v Československu. V teoretické části je nastíněna také samotná tvorba rozhlasového dokumentu. Zdůvodňuji v ní například výběr tématu a respondentů a vysvětluji rovněž volbu cílové skupiny, na niž je práce zaměřena. The bachelor's thesis The Beatles in the Context of Socialist Czechoslovakia in the Radio Documentary is divided into two parts - practical and theoretical. The main practical part is focused on the impact of The Beatles on Czechoslovakian politics and culture. In the radio documentary, the author is trying to describe the atmosphere of the sixties. Therefore, the listeners can hear original Beatles songs as well as songs performed by Czechoslovakian interprets. Thanks to the comments of the singers and music publicists it is pointed out that The Beatles had a huge impact on Czechoslovakian society as, apart from the music itself, the band had a symbolic meaning creating a connection with the democratic world for the Czechoslovaks. The theoretical part of the thesis mainly deals with the definition of the radio documentary. It describes the particularities of radio broadcasting and it briefly mentions the history of radio broadcasting in Czechoslovakia. The creation of the radio documentary is also described in the practical part. It explains why the author decided to choose this topic and also the respondents and the choice of the target audience is clarified.
