Prachoví roztoči patří k významným alergenním činitelům vyskytujícím se v domácnostech po celém světě. Život těchto roztočů je značně ovlivněn hygrotermálními faktory - zejména teplotou a vlhkostí. V této práci byl studován vliv teploty a vlhkosti na chování roztočů druhu Dermatophagoides farinae v rámci teplotního gradientu (simulujícího příčný řez matrací), na jejich metabolismus (reprezentovaný mírou respirace) a populační růst. V rámci teplotního gradientu v rozmezí 19 až 41 řC přijímali roztoči nejčastěji potravu v sektoru s rozpětím teploty 32-36 řC. Tento sektor u nich byl nejvíce preferován nejen v experimentu s 24 h zapnutým teplotním gradientem, ale i v případě pětidenního experimentu se střídajícím se teplotním gradientem (8 h/denně; představujícím období spánku) a pokojovou teplotu (16 h/denně). Největší množství potravu nepřijímajících roztočů bylo v obou variantách experimentu nacházeno v rámci teplotního gradientu v sektor s teplotním rozpětím 19-23 řC. Při měření respirace vykazovali roztoči tohoto druhu značnou produkci CO2, pokud byli inkubováni v teplotách 25-30 řC. Ze studovaných kombinací teplot a relativních vlhkostí (RH) u nich byla naměřena vůbec nejvyšší respirace při inkubaci ve 25 řC a 65% RH. V dalším experimentu byl ze 20 studovaných kombinací teplot a vlhkostí patrný... House dust mites are one of the most important allergenic agents found in households worldwide. The biology of these mites is significantly affected by hygrothermal factors - especially by temperature and humidity. The study is focused on the influence of temperature and humidity to the behavior of Dermatophagoides farinae within a thermal gradient (simulating a vertical section of a mattress), on its metabolism (represented by respiration rate) and population growth. Within a constant thermal gradient (19-41 řC) run for 24 h D. farinae mites most often received food in the sector with a temperature range of 32-36 řC. In experiment with 5 days of alternating cycles of the same gradient (8 h / day) and room temperature (16 h / day) was the sector with a temperature range of 32-36 řC for mite's feeding also the most prefered. In contrast, in both variants of the experiment, non-feeding mites preferred the sector with a temperature range of 19-23 řC (or rather, the largest number of them were found in this sector during the evaluation). During the measurement of respiration, mites of this species showed significant CO2 production when were incubated at temperatures of 25- 30 řC.
