In mountain and submountain regions the cattle breeding participates in appearence of the landscape and its mainenance. The most common breed used in mountain and submountain regions is Czech Pied cattle. Czech Pied cattle shows very good pasture ability in these regions. I evaluated suitability of Czech Pied breed at the maximal bulk feed exploitation in the permanent grassland in Šumava region in my diploma work.
