Morfologické charakteristiky polygonů ledových klínů arktické zóny Abstrakt Bakalářská práce se zabývá polygony ledových klínů a jejich morfologickými charakteristikami. Analyzuje podmínky nutné pro jejich vznik respektive podmínky umožňující nebo naopak zamezující mrazovému pukání. Úvodní část shrnuje publikované poznatky ve vědecké literatuře o permafrostu, mrazovém pukání, stavbě ledových klínů a jejich morfologickému projevu a diskutuje závislost na klimatu a litologii. Následně práce analyzuje morfologické znaky polygonální sítě ledových klínů ve zvolené lokalitě situované na ostrově Banks Island v Kanadském Arktickém archipelagu a porovnává je s publikovanou periglaciální literaturou. The paper states the conditions which allow and inhibit frost cracking of the ground. First part presents the conclusions of scientific literature published on the topic of permafrost, frost cracking, ice- wedges and ice-wedge polygons. Consequently the paper discusses the relation of ice-wedge polygons morphology to climate and lithology. Further the thesis analyzes morphological characteristics of ice-wedge polygonal net localized at southwest part of Banks Island, Canadian Arctic Archipelago.
