Díky moderní medicíně klientů/pacientů s apalickým syndromem přibývá. Jsou hospitalizováni na různých ošetřovacích jednotkách.Ošetřovatelská péče u těchto klientů/pacientů je bezesporu náročná nejen na přístrojové vybavení ošetřovacích jednotek, na personální obsazení, ale velké nároky jsou kladeny i na ošetřovatelský personál, který má poskytovat odbornou a náročnou ošetřovatelskou péči. Poskytování této péče je většinou v kompetenci sestry, pro kterou může představovat větší či menší psychickou a fyzickou zátěž. Obě tyto zátěže pak mohou mít vliv na kvalitu poskytované péče. Cílem této práce bylo zhodnotit psychickou a fyzickou zátěž sester při ošetřování klientů s apalickým syndromem v závislosti na ošetřovací jednotce a byly stanoveny dvě hypotézy. H1: Psychická zátěž sester, pracujících na apalické jednotce je nižší, než zátěž sester na ostatních ošetřovacích jednotkách. H2: Fyzická zátěž sester pracujících na apalické jednotce je nižší, než zátěž sester na ostatních ošetřovacích jednotkách. K dosažení cíle a ověření hypotéz byla použita metoda dotazování, technika dotazníků. Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 87 sester ze třech typů ošetřovacích jednotek. Vyhodnocením výsledků se ukázalo, že H1: Psychická zátěž sester, pracujících na apalické jednotce je nižší, než zátěž sester na ostatních ošetřovacích jednotkách se potvrdila. H2: Fyzická zátěž sester pracujících na apalické jednotce je nižší, než zátěž sester na ostatních ošetřovacích jednotkách se nepotvrdila.V závěru práce byla navrhnuta doporučení vedoucím pracovníkům ošetřovacích jednotek, na kterých byl výzkum uskutečněn. Ze zjištěných výsledků vyplývá, že větší psychická zátěž v ošetřování klientů/pacientů s apalickým syndromem je u sester pracujících na standardních jednotkách a jednotkách intenzivní péče. Fyzická zátěž v ošetřování klientů/pacientů s apalickým syndromem je větší u sester pracujících na apalických jednotkách. Thanks to modern medicine there is a growing number of patients with apallic syndrome. They are hospitalized in various hospital units. Treating such patients is without question demanding with regard to instruments needed in hospital units, with regard to staffing but high demands are also set on nursing staff who are supposed to provide specialist and difficult care. Providing such care is mostly in competence of a nurse for whom it may represent greater or smaller mental and physical stress. As a result the quality of provided care may be influenced. The objective of my thesis was to evaluate mental and physical stress of nurses providing care to clients with apallic syndrome depending on hospital unit.Two hypotheses were stated. H1: Mental stress of nurses working in apallic unit is lower than the stress of nurses working in other hospital units. H2: Physical stress of nurses working in apallic unit is lower than the stress of nurses working in other hospital units. I used the method of questioning (questionnaire method) to achieve the objective and to verify the hypotheses. The research set of data consisted of 87 nurses from three types of hospital units. Evaluation of results showed that: H1 - Mental stress of nurses working in apallic unit is lower than the stress of nurses working in other hospital units - was confirmed. H2 - Physical stress of nurses working in apallic unit is lower that the stress of nurses working in other hospital units - was not confirmed. In the last part of my thesis I suggested recommendations to key personnel of hospital units where the research work was carried out. The results of the research show that nurses working in standard units and in intensive care units suffer from greater mental stress while taking care of patients with apallic syndrome. Nurses working in apallic units suffer from greater physical stress while taking care of patients with apallic syndrome.
