Jana Šindelářová KATEDRA: Katedra pedagogiky VEDOUCÍ PRÁCE: PhDr. RNDr. Hana Voňková, Ph.D. et Ph.D. ABSTRAKT: Cílem práce je zjistit, proč si žáci na českých školách v nižším a ve vyšším sekundárním vzdělávání jako druhý cizí jazyk volí právě francouzštinu a nikoliv jiný jazyk, a jak jsou se svou volbou spokojeni. Teoretická část pojednává o výuce cizích jazyků ve školách v Evropě a v českých školách, zejména o výuce francouzštiny. Dále pojednává o postavení francouzského jazyka ve světě i v České republice, o výhodách a přínosech plynoucích z jeho znalosti. Empirická část popisuje výzkumné šetření provedené prostřednictvím dotazníkové metody. Vzorkem pro výzkum bylo 100 studentů z nižšího a 163 studentů vyššího stupně pražských gymnázií, z čehož je 185 dívek a 78 chlapců. Na základě výzkumu bylo zjištěno, že studenti si druhý cizí jazyk zvolili převážně sami a nejčastějším důvodem pro volbu francouzštiny bylo, že se jim jazyk celkově líbil, druhým důvodem byl hezký přízvuk a třetím nejčastějším důvodem je, že nechtěli studovat jiný jazyk, který jim škola nabízela, následně volili francouzštinu kvůli rozšíření znalostí a možnosti cestování. The theoretical part concerns itself with teaching languages in European schools and in the Czech Republic with the focus on French language. Furthermore, it deals with the status of French language both in the world and in the Czech Republic, and with the benefits the knowledge of French language brings. The empirical part of this thesis depicts a research conducted by means of questionnaire construction. The sample was 100 students from the lower and 163 students from the higher stage of secondary schools called "gymnasium" (grammar school) in Prague. (185 girls and 78 boys) The research shows that students chose the foreign language mainly themselves and the most frequent reason for choosing French was that they liked the language in general.
