Práce se zabývá aktuálním tématem lidská práva. Práce nabízí základní přehled vývoje lidských práv. Hledá provázanost historického vývoje lidských práv a současného chápání tohoto pojmu. Snaží se o analýzu zdrojů lidských práv a zaměřuje se na dokumenty o lidských právech a věnuje se ochraně lidských práv na mezinárodní úrovni. Ve čtvrté kapitole se mimo jiné věnuje ochraně lidských práv na vnitrostátní úrovni. Na závěr se zabývá činnostmi nevládních organizací působících v České republice v oblasti lidských práv. The thesis deals with the theme of human rights. It offers a basic survey of the development of human rights. It explores a historical development of human rights and contemporary conception of this term. It analyses sources of human rights and documents on human rights; it focuses on protection of human rights in the World. The fourth chapter focuses on protection of human rights in the Czech Republic and on the activity of non-governmental organizations working in the field of human rights in the Czech Republic.
