Tato práce se zabývá revolučním kalendářem a vznikem systému jednotek a měr ve Francii v době Velké francouzské revoluce, která je dnes vnímána především z hlediska politického. Cílem práce je ukázat také hlediska filosofická a ideologická, která se nám odkrývají při zkoumání historického vývoje těchto dvou hlavních témat. Součástí práce je také osobní rešerše, která se věnuje použití revolučního kalendáře a systému jednotek a měr od Revoluce až do současnosti. This thesis deals with the Republican Calendar and the metric system in France during the French Revolution, which is now seen primarily from the political point of view. The aim is to show the philosophical and ideological significance revealable when examining the historical development of these two systems. The work also consists of a personal research, which is devoted to use of the Republican Calendar and the System of Units and Measurements from the Revolution to the present.
