Práce se soustředí na dopad přijetí společné měny na vývoj mezinárodního ob- chodu. Jedná se o reakci na tzv. Roseův efekt, který říká, že vstup země do měnové unie zvýší exporty této země do ostatních členských zemí o přibližně 200 %. Práce rozšiřuje gravitační model mezinárodního obchodu a kombinuje eko- nomické vlastnosti jednotlivých zemí s institucionálními a politickými faktory obchodu, jako je například společná politika EU, dopady eura nebo obchodní smlouvy a jiné prvky snižující transakční náklady obchodu, jako je stav infras- truktury v jednotlivých zemích. Spolu s rozšířením modelu se práce nově zabývá také dopadem struktury vstupních dat na výsledky odhadů gravitačního modelu a poukazuje tak na problém, který je doposud v dostupné literatuře opomíjen. Na rozdíl od dosavadního výzkumu se tato práce zaměřuje pouze na exporty České republiky a Německa a detailně se zabývá strukturou mezinárodního ob- chodu pouze pro tyto dvě uvedené země. The purpose of this study is to find the influence of common currency on the international trade development. The study deals with the Rose effect, which says, that the currency unions increase trade by more than 200%. This thesis designes an extended gravity model of international trade where the economic characteristics of countries are combined with institutional and policy factors of trade, such as the EU common policies, impacts of the Euro or trade agreements and other factors, which lowers the transaction costs of trade, such as the quality of infrastructure. The thesis also deals with the data structure influence on the results of the estimation of gravity models and shows the problem which is not in common literature noted. Compared to the common research, this thesis focus in detail only on Czech and German exports.
