Diplomová práce Vztah obyvatel k místu 4 Abstrakt Diplomová práce "Vztah obyvatel k místu ve východní a západní části Krušných hor" zpracovává problematiku vztahu současných obyvatel dané oblasti k obývanému prostoru. Tento vztah je definován na základě vymezení několika teoretických oblastí. V první části proto práce nabízí teoretický vhled do základní terminologie, klíčové k pochopení vztahu obyvatel k místu. Zabývá se definicí pojmu "místo", jeho charakterem a způsoby, jakým může být vnímáno. Stejně tak nahlíží na pojem usídlení a zabývá se pojmem "identita", kterou dále definuje jako identitu biografickou a regionální. Identitu lze zkoumat z hlediska vztahu ke krajině, k místnímu společenství a historického vědomí. Práce také charakterizuje oblast Sudet a vymezuje historický kontext potřebný ke komplexnímu náhledu na zkoumanou oblast, přičemž neopomíjí problematiku nacionalismu. Praktická část pomocí kvalitativní metody zpracovává osmnáct polostrukturovaných rozhovorů, vedených se zástupci elit (starostů, podnikatelů, členů spolků) vybraných oblastí východní a západní části Krušných hor. Následné analýzy poukazují na shodné a rozdílné rysy vztahu obyvatel k místu a nastiňují okruhy témat, které se ve výpovědích jeví jako dominantní pro určení vztahu ke Krušným horám. Diplomová práce Vztah obyvatel k místu 5 Abstract This thesis entitled "Relationship of inhabitants to their home place in Eastern and Western Ore Mountains (Krušné hory)" focuses on the issue of a relationship the current inhabitants have to the area they live in. This relationship is defined on the basis of several distinct theoretical areas. The first portion of the thesis covers the basic terminology key for understanding the relationship of inhabitants to their home place. It deals with the definition of the term "home place", its character and ways in which it may be perceived. It also contemplates the term "settlement" and focuses on "identity" which is further defined as biographical and regional identity. Identity may be studied in the context of a relationship to the countryside, local community and historical awareness. The paper also characterises the Sudetenland region and provides the historical context necessary for a comprehensive outlook at the area researched without marginalizing the issue of nationalism. The practical portion employs qualitative methodology to process eighteen semi-structured interviews with representatives of elites (mayors, businessmen and members of associations) of the selected are of the Eastern and Western Ore Mountains.
