Univerzita Karlova, Fakulta sociálních věd, Institut mezinárodních vztahů. Vedoucí práce: PhDr. Vít Smetana, Ph.D. Bakalářská práce se zabývá politikou britské mandátní správy v Palestině vůči židovskému přistěhovalectví po druhé světové válce. V zájmu porozumění problematice nejprve popisuje poválečný stav Velké Británie a Palestiny, směřování britské zahraniční politiky po roce 1945, historii mandátní správy na území Palestiny, situaci evropských Židů poznamenaných holocaustem a snahy o uznání jejich práva na osídlení Palestiny. Hlavní část práce se zabývá vztahem a politikou britské administrativy vůči Židům, kteří měli v úmyslu emigrovat do Palestiny, ilegálním migrantům, požadavkům sionistických organizací i Spojených států. Dále se věnuje obecným i konkrétním úvahám britské vlády ohledně židovského přistěhovalectví a jeho důsledkům. Snaží se odpovědět na otázky ohledně míry vlivu židovské migrace do Palestiny po druhé světové válce na pozici Britů na Blízkém východě a jejich rozhodnutí vzdát se mandátu. Přitom je však třeba uvědomit si, jaké měla Británie potíže ekonomické a zahraničně-politické (Indie, Turecko, Řecko). Dalším důležitým faktorem ovlivňujícím britskou... NNAJI, Kristýna. Vedoucí práce: PhDr. Vít Smetana, Ph.D. The thesis is concerned with the policy of the British Palestine mandate administration towards the Jewish immigration after the World War Two. To understand the broad issue, the position of Great Britain and Palestine, the direction of british foreign policy after 1945, the history of the mandate administration in the Palestinian territory, the situation of the European Jews fated by the holocaust and the efforts for the recognition of their right to settle in Palestine, are first described. The main part of the thesis is concerned with the attitude and policy of the British administration towards the Jews who intended to emigrate to Palestine, the illegal migrants, the demands of the zionist organisations and the United States. Next it atends to general as well as particular British government considerations concerning the Jewish immigration and its implications.
