Koronitická metagabra se vyskytují na kontaktu mariánsko-lázeňského komplexu a tepelského krystalinika v podobě malých izolovaných těles. Charakter metagaber se liší v závislosti na stupni metamorfózy a primární minerální asociace. Cílem této práce je popis reprezentativních vzorků z petrologického, geochemického a mikrostrukturního hlediska ve vztahu k metamorfním přeměnám. Stanovení P-T podmínek je důležitým parametrem při interpretaci tvorby koron a zároveň může pomoci objasnit vývoj kontaktu obou jednotek. Magmatická minerální asociace tvořená plagioklasem, ortopyroxenem, klinopyroxenem, amfibolem, biotitem, ilmenitem a místy i olivínem, spinelem a křemenem je v metagabrech dobře zachovaná. Metamorfóza se projevila tvorbou koron na kontaktu plagioklasu s ostatními primárními minerály, kdy nejběžnějšími fázemi tvořící korony jsou amfibol, granát a ortopyroxen. V pozorovaných vzorcích dochází k rekrystalizaci magmatického plagioklasu za vzniku dvou plagioklasů odlišného složení (An40 a An90) v asociaci se spinelem, korundem a místy i kyanitem. Svým chemismem metagabra odpovídají tholeiitickému trendu, ale obsahy stopových prvků a vzácných zemin dokládají nevyhraněný charakter (nikoliv MORB). Pro reprezentativní vzorky byly stanoveny P-T podmínky, které ukazují, že metamorfóza vykazuje nárůst z... Coronitic metagabbros occur as small isolated bodies along the contact between the Mariánské Lázně and the Teplá crystalline complexesin the NW of the Bohemian Massif. Metagabbros show variable metamorphic and textural characteristics with respect to their magmatic mineral assemblage and degree of metamorphism. The aim of this study is to characterize mineralogical, chemical, and microstructural changes related to metamorphic changes in selected representative samples. In addition, the associated calculation of P-T conditions can help to clarify the evolution of the boundary of both units as well as to provide constraints on formation of corona microstructures. Magmatic mineral assemblages in the metagabbros formed by plagiocase, orthopyroxene, clinopyroxene, amphibole, biotite and ilmenite occasionally olivine,spinel or quartz are generally well preserved. Metamorphism is mainly reflected by formation of single or multiple coronas at the contact of plagioclase with other primary minerals, the most common constuents are amphibole, garnet and orthopyroxene. Progressive breakdown of the magmatic plagioklase is reflected by formation of mixture An40 and An90 plagioclase associated with spinel,corundum and occasionally kyanite.
