V této bakalářské práci se pokouším nastínit fungování a produkci nakladatelství Albatros po roce 2002, od roku 2009 pak jako součásti moderní mediální společnosti Albatros Media a. s. V rámci představení společnosti se věnuji také jejím ostatním subjektům. Tvorbu edičního profilu nelze oddělit od popisu současného stavu knižního trhu a s ním spjatých podmínek pro vydávání, v tomto případě dětských, knih. Součástí práce je představení konkurence v oblasti vydávání dětské literatury, přiblížení způsobů podpory dětského čtenářství a zhodnocení úspěšnosti titulů vydaných nakladatelstvím Albatros ve zkoumaném období. Cílem mé práce je především popis vývoje nakladatelství Albatros po roce 2002 a jeho současné podoby a v neposlední řadě nastínění podmínek, v jakých produkce nakladatelství vzniká. In this thesis I try to outline running and production of the publishing house Albatros from 2002 on, after 2009 as a part of modern media company Albatros Media a. s. Within the framework of company presentation I also focus on its other member companies. The formation of edition profile is necessery to connect with describtion of present state of the book market and conditions for book publishing, in this case book publishing for children. Part of my thesis is also a presentation of competitors on the market with literature for children, outline of methods for reading support and consideration about how books published by Albatros after 2002 are succesfull. The aim of my thesis is primarily the describtion of the evolution of the publishing house Albatros after 2002 and its present state and also presentation of conditions in which the production is created.
