Jak již vyplývá ze samotného názvu, tato diplomová práce pojednává o romské kultuře a tradicích, zejména mapuje úroveň znalostí jak ze strany samotných Romů, tak Neromů ve městě Táboře. Volba tématu vychází ze všeobecně známé skutečnosti týkající se problematického soužití těchto dvou tolik rozdílných skupin. Řada příslušníků majoritní společnosti nemá povědomí o tom, že Romové jsou specifickou skupinou obyvatel, mající svou vlastní kulturu a své tradice. Na druhou stranu se však tradiční způsob života Romů také výrazně změnil, spíše upadá, zvláště v jazyce. Oba tyto pohledu mohou hrát důležitou roli ve vzájemném porozumění Romů a většinové společnosti. Cílem práce bylo zmapovat znalost romské kultury a tradic romskou komunitou v Táboře a taktéž zmapovat tyto znalosti ze strany majoritní společnosti v Táboře. V souladu s tímto cílem byly stanoveny dvě hlavní hypotézy. První hlavní hypotéza předpokládala, že Romská komunita v Táboře své tradice a kulturu většinou již nezná. Druhá hlavní hypotéza předpokládala, že majoritní společnost v Táboře nezná romskou kulturu a tradice. Provedeným výzkumem se však tyto hypotézy nepotvrdily, protože převážná část dotazovaných jak strany Romů, tak Neromů znalo alespoň jeden prvek romské kultury a tradic. Z mých studií dále vyplynula další důležitá zjištění, která jsou podrobně rozvedena v diskusní části této práce. Vzhledem k tomu, že se touto problematikou na území města Tábora doposud nikdo nezabýval, domnívám se, že by její výsledky mohly být přínosné pro organizace, které poskytují služby romské komunitě v Táboře. K naplnění tohoto cíle proto budu svou práci prezentovat na webových stránkách města Tábora. Following from its title, this diploma work discusses Gipsy culture and traditions, especially maps the level of knowledge comparing Gipsy and non-Gipsy inhabitants in the town of Tabor. The choice of the topic proceeds from a widely known fact involving the problematic common life of those too much different groups. Many members of the majority do not have any awareness of Gipsies being a specific group of inhabitants, having their own culture and traditions. On the other hand, the traditional life of the Gipsies has changed at all,rather has declined, especially in the field of language.Both these points of view may play an important role in one another understanding of the Gipsies and the majority. The target of my work was to map the knowledge of the Gipsy culture and traditions by the Gipsy commune and, as well, to map the knowledge of the majority. Within the framework of this, two main hypothesises were determined. The first main hypothesis assumed that the Gipsy commune in Tabor hadn´t known its tradition and culture any more. The second main hypothesis assumed that the majority hadn´t known the Gipsy tradition and culture. These two hypothesises weren´t proved because the decisive part of questioned people( both Gipsy and non-Gipsy) had known at least one element of Gipsy culture and tradition. Another important investigation was made in my work.They are specified in details in the part {\clqq}Discussion`` of my work. In consideration of the fact that nobody has ever occupied with this problem in the area of the town of Tabor, I suppose, that the points of my work may be useful for organizations that provide service for the Gipsy commune in Tabor.To make it possible, I am going to present my work on the web page of the town of Tabor.
