Práce srovnává mediální obraz islámu v německých a českých médiích před a po vraždě holandského režiséra Theo van Gogha. Ten byl 2. listopadu 2004 zavražděn mladým muslimem. Jeho vražda vyvolala v Nizozemsku vlnu násilností a v Německu obavy, protože zde žije početná turecká menšina a i další arabské minority. Podnětem pro tuto vraždu byl pravděpodobně van Goghův film, který zpochybňoval islámské stereotypy. Po této události se v západní Evropě rozpoutala debata o problémech integrace a imigrace. Práce je zaměřená na analýzu článků z německých a českých médií, konkrétně na periodika Der Spiegel a Mladou frontu DNES a používá kvalitativní obsahovou analýzu, konkrétně metodu zakotvené teorie. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních kapitol. První kapitola je teoretická a věnuje se historii islámu v Německu a v České republice a druhá kapitola je empirická a je zde popsán vlastní výzkum. This bachelor thesis compares the media image of Islam in German and Czech media before and after the murder of the Dutch director Theo van Gogh. He was assassinated on 2 November 2004. His murderer was young Muslim Mohammed Bouyeri. Van Gogh's murder caused the wave of violence in the Netherlands. In Germany it caused many concerns, because there is a large Turkish minority and other Arabic minorities. The impulse for the assassination was probably van Gogh's film Submission, which questioned the Islam stereotypes and criticized the treatment of women. After his murder the political debate on the issues of integration and immigration arose in the Western Europe. This bachelor thesis analyzes articles from German and Czech media, namely from the weekly magazine Der Spiegel and from the journal Mladá fronta DNES and uses the qualitative content analysis and the method of the grounded theory. This thesis is divided into two main chapters.
