U těchto komplexů se předpokládá jejich použití jako kontrastní látky v tomografii magnetickou rezonancí. Bylo nasyntetizovány celkem 3 ligandy. U syntetizovaných ligandů byla studována jejich schopnost komplexovat manganatý ion ve vodném a nevodném prostředí pomocí hmotnostní spektrometrie. Dále byly pomocí cyklické voltametrie studovány elektrochemické vlastnosti komplexů Mn2+ s běžnými chelatujícími ligandy a jedním nasyntetizovaným ligandem. These complexes may be potentially used as contrast agents in magnetic resonance imaging. Three macrobicyclic ligand with various pendant arms were synthesized. The ability to complex manganese(II) ions were studied by Mass Spectroscopy. Electrochemical properties of manganese(II) complexes with general chelating agents and one synthesized ligand were studied using cyclic voltammetry.
