Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá srovnáním románu Konec světa a Hard-boiled Wonderland od japonského spisovatele Haruki Murakamiho v japonském originále s jeho českým překladem pořízeným překladatelem Tomášem Jurkovičem. Cílem této bakalářské práce je zjistit, zda český překlad odpovídá japonskému originálu a odvodit, jakými metodami autor překladu pracuje. První kapitola uvádí základní teze teorie kvalitního překladu, popisuje jazyková úskalí japonštiny a potíže spojené s překlady ze vzdálených jazyků. Druhá kapitola charakterizuje život a dílo spisovatele a jeho literární styl, odvíjející se od rysů mezinárodních, poté japonských a nakonec ryze individuálních. Jádro práce je v třetí kapitole. Zde se nejprve zaměřuje na úroveň sémantickou, tj. na rozbor lexikálních a frazeologických prostředků při srovnání překladu z japonštiny do češtiny. Sem patří novotvary, amerikanismy, synonyma a obměny opakujících se japonských sloves v češtině, slova citově zabarvená a zvukomalebná, fráze, idiomy apod. Poté se práce věnuje problematice na syntaktické úrovni překladu. Zaměřuje se na užití přítomného času v jedné části románu, na otázku převodu tykání a vykání do češtiny a na snahu vtahovat čtenáře do příběhu pomocí oslovování čtenáře. Dále se zabývá komplexními jazykovými prostředky jako jsou příměry a metafory, které... This bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of the literary work The End Of The World and Hard-boiled Wonderland by Japanese author Haruki Murakami in Japanese original version with the Czech translation elaborated by translator Tomáš Jurkovič. The aim of this thesis is to ascertain whether the Czech version conforms with the Japanese original and to deduce the author's working methods. The first chapter introduces the basic high-quality translation theses, describes the Japanese lingual pitfalls and difficulties along the translations from the remote languages. Chapter two defines life and work of Murakami and his literary style within the international, Japanese and individual contexts. The nucleus of the thesis is contained in the third chapter, which focuses on the semantic level, i.e. on the lexical and phraseology instruments analysis in connection with the Japanese and Czech translation confrontation, e.g. neologisms, americanisms, synonyms, variations of repeated Japanese verbs in Czech, emotives, onomatopoeics, idioms, etc. The thesis deals also with the syntax level translation analysis, present time utilization in one part of the novel, the the official - familiar interpersonal communication code translation to Czech, as well as with the author's addressing the reader in spite of inviting him...
