Zpravodajství je důležitým aspektem novinářské činnosti. Jeho hlavním cílem je zpravovat veřejnost o informacích, událostech a aktuálním dění. Ačkoliv se zpravodajství jako takové podřizuje pevně daným normám, stále můžeme pozorovat dílčí rozdíly, jak v rámci jednotlivých televizních stanic, veřejnoprávních a soukromých televizních stanic, tak na mezinárodní úrovni. Práce se zabývá srovnáním regionálního vysílání ve dvou sousedních státech: v České republice a v Polsku. Jde o porovnání hlavních regionálních zpravodajských bloků Událostí v regionech ČT Ostrava a Aktualności TVP Katowice. Zaměřuji se zejména na rozdíly výroby jednotlivých zpráv, od počátečního výběru z událostí dne, až po systém zpracování a konečnou podobu vysílané reportáže. Obsahem práce je i srovnání zpravodajských bloků jako celků, četnost regionálních zpráv zařazených do celostátního vysílání a jejich přeshraniční přesah. Hlavní otázkou je, zdá-li existují rozdíly mezi regionálním zpravodajstvím těchto dvou stanic. Jako hlavní výzkumný prostředek je použita sémiotická analýza, doplněná kvantitativní analýzou a osobními rozhovory. News service is an important aspect of the journalistic aktivity. I tis main goal is to inform the public about actualities. Even though the news service is subject to strict regulations, we can observe substantial differences between the programs of different TV channels and also between broadcasting in different countries. My work consists of an investigation into the differences in broadcasting in two bordering countries - the Czech Republic and Poland. This essay primarily focuses on the comparison of the major local broadcasting channels Události v regionech ČT Ostrava and Aktualności TVP Katowice. I am mainly concerned about the differences in production of individual news, beginning with the choice - making as to what news to include, through the production of the news, and finishing with the final broadcasting. My research question is: Are there any differences between local broadcasting of these two channels? The main method of investigation employed in this essay is a semiotic analysis together with a quantitative analysis and interviews.
