[cze][eng] Epidermolysis bullosa congenita (EB, resp. EBC) představuje skupinu více než 20 velice závažných kožních chorob. Jedná se o vzácné, genetické onemocnění, které nepostihuje jen kůži, pro klinický obraz těch nejtěžších forem je charakterické postižení téměř všech systémů, včetně hybného. Pacienti jsou často nazýváni "motýlí děti", protože je jejich kůže křehká jako křídla motýla. Rozsáhlé puchýře na kůži a sliznicích vznikají spontánně nebo po minimálním zevním tlaku. Ačkoliv se takto narodí průměrně jedno dítě z 300 000 živě narozených, problematika, o které budu psát, není zcela tak úzká. Klinické projevy na kůži totiž úzce korelují s popáleninami, které představují daleko častější diagnosy, a řada přístupů a terapií je společná.
