Rozvinuté společnosti se v rostoucí míře přiklánějí k myšlenkám udržitelnosti, které zahrnují také otázky surovinové náročnosti a nakládání s odpady. Země EU deklarují záměr přechodu k takzvané cirkulační ekonomice, kde výroba, spotřeba, nakládání s odpady a trh s druhotnými surovinami fungují v převážně uzavřených cyklech. Díky vysokému podílu na celkové spotřebě surovin a množství vytvářeného odpadu je stavebnictví jedním z prioritních odvětví, ve kterém by tyto změny měly proběhnout. V důsledku toho pravděpodobně poroste zájem o recyklaci stavebního a demoličního odpadu. Tato práce zkoumá vybrané téma z pohledu architekta. Problematika recyklace stavebních materiálů je řešena v kontextu současného stavebnictví. Úvodní část popisuje hlavní materiálové toky: nejpoužívanější stavební materiály, způsob nakládání s odpady a možnosti jeho dalšího využití. Jsou definovány vztahy mezi návrhem budovy a produkcí stavebního odpadu. Podrobněji je řešena problematika stavby z recyklovaných stavebních materiálů. V hlavní části práce byl zpracován návrh modelového objektu z recyklovaných stavebních materiálů. Jednotlivé stavební konstrukce byly analyzovány z hlediska vhodnosti použití recyklovaných stavebních materiálů a nakládání s odpady po skončení životního cyklu budovy a provedeno srovnání s alternativními konstrukcemi z konvenčních stavebních materiálů. V závěru práce bylo provedeno vyhodnocení použitelnosti recyklovaných stavebních materiálů ve stavebních konstrukcích a jejich ekonomického potenciálu. Byla vyhodnocena specifika návrhu budovy z recyklovaných stavebních materiálů. Nowadays, the developed societies increasingly adhere to the ideas of sustainability, which also include the issues of raw material intensity and waste management. EU countries declare their intention to move towards so-called circular economy, where production, consumption, waste management and the market of secondary raw materials function in predominantly closed cycles. Due to its high share of raw material consumption and the amount of waste generated, the construction industry is one of the priority sectors in which these changes should take place. Consequently, the interest in recycling of construction and demolition waste will probably grow. This thesis examines the chosen topic from the architect's point of view. The issue of recycling of building materials is dealt with in the context of contemporary construction industry. The introductory part describes main material flows: the most used building materials, the method of waste management and the possibilities of its further use. The relationships between the design of the building and the production of construction waste are defined. The issue of building with recycled building materials is handled in more detail. In the main part, the design of a model object made of recycled building materials is elaborated. The individual building structures are analyzed in terms of the suitability of the use of recycled building materials and waste management after the end of a lifecycle of the building and a comparison is made with alternative structures made of conventional building materials. At the end of the work, an evaluation of the usability of recycled building materials in building structures and their economic potential is performed. There is also an evaluation of the specifics of working with recycled building materials in the design of the building.
