Diplomová práce zkoumá mluvu mládeže z hlediska používání cizích slov. Skládá se z části teoretické a praktické. Teoretická část charakterizuje stručně jazyk, slovo a slovní zásobu. Poté se věnuje obohacování slovní zásoby, zejména přejímání cizích slov. Praktická část vychází z rozboru výsledků jazykového dotazníku, který vyplňovali žáci sedmé a deváté třídy základní školy a studenti druhého a čtvrtého ročníku střední školy. Na základě analýzy dotazníků máme zjistit, zda mládež rozumí cizím slovům, zda je používá a zdá dává přednost cizím slovům, nebo jejich českým ekvivalentům. Dotazník obsahuje slova různého stáří, původu a z různých oborů. The diploma thesis is focused on the speech of teenagers from the point of view of using foreign words. It contains two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part briefly characterizes the language, the word and the vocabulary system. Then it is also focused on the ways of enrichment of the vocabulary of the Czech language, mainly on the borrowings. The practical part is based on the analysis of the results from a language questionnaire which was filled in by the pupils from the seventh and ninth classes and by the students from the second and fourth grades. The analysis of the questionnaires should help us to find out, if teenagers understand foreign words, if they use them and if they prefer foreign words to the Czech synonyms. The questionnaire contains foreign words of different ages, different origins and from different branches.
