Teoretická část blíže popisuje klíčové pojmy práce, jako je definice poruchy autistického spektra, charakteristika osob s PAS, osobní asistenti a náplň jejich činnosti, typy osobní asistence a ostatní sociální služby, které mají za cíl kompenzovat sníženou soběstačnost osob s PAS. Empirická část využívá kvalitativní výzkumnou strategii, staví na datech sesbíraných skrze rozhovory s osobními asistentkami a asistenty. Cílem empirické části je zmapovat vztah mezi osobním asistentem a klientem. The theoretical section further describes key concepts of thesis, such as the definition of autism spectrum disorder, the characteristics of persons with ASD, personal assistants and the nature of their activities, types of personal assistance and other social services, which aim to compensate for the reduced self-sufficiency of persons with ASD. The empirical part uses a qualitative research strategy, building on data collected through interviews with personal assistants. The aim of the empirical part is to elucidate the relationship between the personal assistant and the client.
