Bakalářská práce se věnuje činnosti Severoirského sdružení za občanská práva (Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association, NICRA) od jejího vzniku po rok 1972, kdy došlo k jejímu odsunutí z hlavního veřejného prostoru. Zkoumána je existence NICRA z hlediska vývoje lidských práv ve světě. Práce se zabývá vznikem NICRA, její činností i jejími metodami a požadavky. Cílem práce je prozkoumat, jak NICRA zapadá do světového vývoje lidských práv, jestli navazuje na obecné procesy a tendence v oblasti prosazování lidských práv, popř. v jakých, a jak se do jejích aktivit promítá zahraniční dění ohledně lidských práv, působení jiných lidskoprávních hnutí a mezinárodních institucí. Pro zpřehlednění je uvedeno shrnutí hlavních mezníků v rozvoji lidských práv ve světě. This bachelor thesis deals with the activities of the Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association (NICRA) from its establishment until the year 1972, when it withdrew from the main public space. NICRA is studied from the point of view of the evolution of human rights in the world. The thesis is concerned with the formation of NICRA, its activities, methods, and demands. The purpose of this thesis is to examine, how NICRA fits into the global development of human rights, whether it follows common processes and tendencies in the area of promoting human rights and if so, which. It further deals with the influence of foreign events concerning human rights, actions of other human rights movements, and international institutions on its activities. For illustration, a summary of the main milestones in the advancement of human rights in the world is included.
