The aim of this thesis is to raise awareness of Medieval Tombstones called Stećci in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The emphasis is on description of stećak tombstones and the place where the stećak tombstones are located. I focus on history of stećak tombstones as well as on the locations of the stećak tombstones. They are many sites in Bosnia and Herzegovina, so I have chosen a few of them and I tried to describe the appearance of the stećak tombstones. I also focus on decorative motifs and inscriptions because they are an important part of stećak tombstones. Key terms: Medieval Tombstones Stećci, Bosnia and Herzegovina, decorative motifs, inscriptions. Ciljem rada je podignuti svijest o Nekropolama stećaka u Bosni i Hercegovini. Naglasak je stavljen na opisu stećaka, mjesta na kojima se stećci nalaze. Pisala sam kako o historiji i izgledu stećaka tako o lokacijama i njezinim okolinama. U Bosni i Hercegovini ima puno nalazišta, ja sam izabrala nekolicu njih i pokušala sam opisati izgled stećaka. Pisala sam i o ukrasnim motivima i natpisama, jer su jako važan dio stećaka. Ključne riječi: Nekropola stećaka, Bosna i Hercegovina, natpisi, ukrasni motivi.
