Tato práce se zabývá tématem mezinárodních důvodů vstupu Spojených států do druhé světové války v kontextu vztahů s Velkou Británií. Práce má za cíl analyzovat, jaké události a jejich dopady ovlivňovaly vzájemné vztahy těchto zemí a jaký měly vliv na vstup Spojených států do války v prosinci 1941. Zkoumány jsou zde jednotlivé aspekty vzájemných vztahů jako diplomatické spory a spolupráce, styky příslušníků ozbrojených složek a jejich jednání, strategické plánování nebo také rivalita a spolupráce v oblasti hospodářství a zásobování. Vzájemné vztahy a předválečná americké pozice jsou zároveň dány do kontrastu s americkou domácí politickou situací a izolacionismem. Práce je časově ohraničena lety 1933-1941, tedy od nástupu Franklina D. Roosevelta do prezidentského úřadu do vstupu Spojených států do druhé světové války. Roosevelt, Winston Churchill This thesis deals with the topic of international reasons for the entry of the United States into World War II in the context of relations with Great Britain. The thesis aims to analyze what events and their effects affected the relations of these countries and what influenced the entry of the United States into the war in December 1941. It examines the various aspects of relations such as diplomatic disputes and cooperation, contacts, strategic planning or also rivalry and cooperation in the field of economy and supply. At the same time, mutual relations and the pre-war American position are contrasted with the American domestic political situation and isolationism. The work is limited in time to the years 1933- 1941, from the accession of Franklin D. Roosevelt to the presidency until the entry of the United States into World War II.
