Bakalářská práce se zabývá fenoménem sebemedikace u žen v období menopauzy a postmenopauzy. Je rozdělena na teoretickou a výzkumnou část. Teoretická část je věnována teorii sebemedikace, významným publikovaným studiím zabývajícím se sebemedikací depresivních a úzkostných poruch, vlivu alkoholu na zdraví ženy a nakonec samotné menopauze, jejímu psychosociálnímu významu a zvýšené prevalenci depresivních a úzkostných poruch u žen v tomto životním období. Praktická část je věnována kvalitativnímu kazuistickému výzkumu zaměřenému na okolnosti vzniku závislosti tří žen léčících se v období klimakteria poprvé s diagnózou závislosti na alkoholu, jejich psychickému stavu, motivům užívání alkoholu a závažnosti klimakterických obtíží. Pro sběr dat byla použita dotazníková baterie a polostrukturovaný rozhovor. Cílem práce bylo popsat fenomén sebemedikace u žen v období menopauzy a postmenopauzy a otevřít tak debatu pro další zkoumání. Z výzkumu vyplývá, že u žen v tomto životním období skutečné docházelo ke zhoršení psychického stavu a vyššímu užívání alkoholu, kterým se nepříjemné pocity snažily zmírnit. U každé z žen se psychické obtíže, prožívaní menopauzy i podoba samotného užívání alkoholu různí a práce tak poukazuje na rozmanitost, v jaké se sebemedikace alkoholem u žen v období menopauzy a postmenopauzy... The bachelor thesis deals with the self-medication theory among menopausal and postmenopausal women. It is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part presents self-medication theory and important studies exploring self-medication of mood and anxiety disorders, health effects of alcohol consumption on women, psychosocial aspects of menopause and higher prevalence of mood and anxiety disordes among menopausal and postmenopausal women. The practical part presents qualitative research with case studies exploring alcohol addiction in three perimenopausal women. Case studies are also focused on their psychological condition, drinking motives and perimenopausal symptoms. Questionnaire battery and semi-structured interview were used for data collection. The aim was to describe self-medication phenomenon among menopausal and postmenopausal women and start the debate for another research. The research claims that alcohol consumption among perimenopausal women was rising as the psychological condition was getting worse to cope their negative emotions.
